Tennessee Reconnect

Overview

Tennessee Reconnect is a grant for adults to earn an associate degree or technical certificate in Tennessee – tuition-free! BlueCare has shared this program with providers as a retention/recruitment tool to support their staff through continuing education and career growth opportunities at no cost.

The Tennessee Reconnect Grant is a last dollar grant that pays the remaining balance of tuition and mandatory fees after other state and federal financial aid have been applied. The Tennessee Reconnect Grant is available for adults who want to pursue associate degrees, technical degrees, or technical diplomas at a Tennessee community college or technical college.

Navigate Reconnect

Navigate Reconnect is the regionally-based arm of Tennessee Reconnect, which provides institution-neutral college navigation services to adult Tennesseans who want to return to or enroll in postsecondary education for the first time. Navigate Reconnect also serves as the local hub of resources including childcare options and affordable transportation for adult learners. More information can be found here.

Services Offered:

  • Free college navigation services to all Tennessee adult learners, regardless of college or program of study

  • Direct referrals to state and community wrap-around services

  • Direct referrals to college contacts for financial aid, admissions, and academic advising

  • Timely reminders and check ins to encourage persistence

  • Local outreach to potential Reconnectors
